| Charli XCX Just Made UGG "Brat" at Sundance |
I'm a huge fan of what Charli XCX stands for, which to me is unraveling the "clean-girl" identity. We're all perfectly imperfect, we make mistakes, and we don't always dress the part, and that's okay. XCX is a trendsetter, and her recent outing at Sundance Film Festival for her upcoming documentary, "The Moment," proved it when she casually strolled around in an item we all know and love: UGGs.
"But Haley, UGGs HavE AlWayS bEeN PoPUlaR." You're right, but not all styles. This short version is a classic. It's something I wore in high school and college and feels almost like an ode to the 2016 trend itself. The best part about the newer versions is that they're pre-treated, so you don't have to worry about the suede getting all messed up as you battle winter. Stowstorm Fern, I'm looking at you. |

I Tried It: Kayla Itsines' Fitness App |
In today's featured column, I test whether Kayla Itsines' popular "Sweat App" is worth the hype. |
As a runner who's always skipped the weight room, the Sweat App ($25 per month) felt like a low-pressure way to finally start strength training. No $150 gym memberships, no awkward equipment intimidation, just beginner-friendly workouts at home. I tried the three-week ab burn challenge and, yes, my abs are still talking about it. The step-by-step videos make everything easy to follow, and you can power through with your own Spotify or Apple Music playlists.
Sweat keeps things interesting with workouts ranging from 10 to 60 minutes, from HIIT and Pilates to strength and sport-specific routines, with or without equipment. Add in simple recipes, progress tracking, and a built-in community, and suddenly having a whole wellness routine feels . . . doable. Plus, It's currently running a promotion where new users get the first two months free. |
