Did you tune in to the 2026 Met Gala last night? What are your thoughts? I have many. With a theme "Costume Art" and a dress code of "Fashion is Art," I had high hopes for the evening. When I signed on to cover the red carpet with my eyes peeled for all things beauty, I was somewhat disappointed. Some celebrities absolutely killed it while others fell short. But because I'm one to focus on the positive, let's get into some highlights.
In terms of who nailed the brief, Kylie Jenner, Janelle Monáe, Keke Palmer, Rihanna, Sabrina Carpenter, and Emma Chamberlain stood out to me — among others.

What was really cool to see was so many amazing looks created using drugstore beauty products. The Met Gala is one of the most significant fashion events of the year, with the biggest stars and designers in attendance. It's dripping in high glamour and fine art, and yet, these celebrity looks are proof that you don't need to spend a ton of money on beauty products to achieve a show-stopping look.
Keke Palmer, Gigi Hadid, Teyana Taylor, Zoë Kravitz, and countless other A-listers turned heads in drugstore products that cost under $15. Keep scrolling to see a few favorites and shop the full list here.
