Ever since I was a little girl I knew I was destined for a life of ludophilia.
Born in Las Vegas into what you might call a "game night family," every weekend growing up featured a rotating cast of characters all huddled around the living room table playing Cranium, Clue, Scrabble, Scene It?, or Guess Who, to name just a sampling. For years, my mother extolled the camaraderie and connection that came from a little friendly competition. I think she just liked winning.
She's also not wrong. There's simply no greater nexus for human connection than a good game night with friends, and nothing more nostalgic for me personally. It's why I've dedicated a not-insignificant amount of square footage in my tiny Brooklyn apartment for my own stash of playing cards and trivia, and the reason I couldn't be more excited to combine said hobby with my day job as the host of Re:Play, the celebrity interview series you haven't seen yet.
Re:Play is Popsugar's new nostalgia-soaked talk show where I invite your favorite stars to settle in, play throwback games, and share the stories they've never told anywhere else. In other words: my ideal Friday night.
Season one will be full of surprises, starting with our first guest and reality TV icon Ariana Madix. Tune in for the "Love Island" tea, her tips for fellow Bravo star Ciara Miller, and (dare I say) some of my favorite games I've ever played.
