It was a long winter in New York. We got more snow than I can remember, and for days on end, the temperature stayed in the single digits. Keeping my puppy entertained inside while working from home was a struggle, to say the least. My heart goes out to all of you with children. But as someone who has lived in the North East my whole life (and plans to keep it that way), I always say that it makes the spring season feel all the sweeter, so this year that feels especially true.
Seemingly overnight, signs of spring have crept in. The trees have little green leaves, birds are flitting about, and the tulips I planted in my front yard and then forgot about have miraculously bloomed. While the temperature is still solidly a little chilly, we've had a handful of warm days that have done wonders for my mental health.
