Oh No, the Olympics Are Making Me Introspective Again |
|
|
After a brief hiatus, the Popsugar Fitness newsletter is back. Right on time, too, with the 2026 Winter Olympics officially underway in Milano Cortina. Like the start of a new year, the Olympic Games tend to spark moments of reflection — on how to keep pushing, seek greatness in one's own life, and "dream big," as Timothée Chalamet and the "Marty Supreme" press tour continually tell us. This was at the heart of Bad Bunny's soul-stirring Super Bowl halftime show, which at one point featured the Puerto Rican artist telling viewers at home, "My name is Benito Antonio MartÃnez Ocasio, and if I'm here today at Super Bowl 60, it's because I never, ever stopped believing in myself. You should also believe in yourself. You're worth more than you think. Trust me." Lindsey Vonn is also on my mind. By now, it's well-trodden ground that the alpine skier crashed in the downhill event on Feb. 8 and had to be airlifted after breaking her left leg. (Vonn is in stable condition and recovering after surgery.) And while Vonn has received a public reprimanding for deciding to still compete after a knee replacement and recent injury, it's hard to knock Vonn for doing the very thing that made her one of the world's greatest athletes — for persevering, for taking risks, for believing. More often than not, that process is messy. It doesn't always end well, or with a medal, but it's so very human. |

When a new year rolls around, there's always so much motivation to make small adjustments to improve our health and fitness. Whether you're focused on fitness goals, carving out space for self-care, or just looking to feel like the best version of yourself, wellness products can get you into the right mindset.
As a health and fitness editor, I come across new wellness-related products often. I've tried everything from innovative smart watches to AI journals, and I've researched the best tactics and products for getting better sleep, working out, and relieving anxiety. I've even experimented with diagnostic testing, supplement patches, and matching activewear.
But which items are actually worth buying for your health and wellness? Ahead, I rounded up a few of my favorite products in the wellness space — from trendy exercise equipment to tools for mindfulness and self-care — all of which would also make perfect gifts. Read on to get all the wellness product inspiration . . . even if it's just for a little gift to yourself. — Chandler Plante |
