Anyone who uses TikTok is most likely aware that the platform is home to some pretty wild claims. Out-of-the-box ideas are never hard to come by on the app, but I may have just found one worth trying. I'm someone with short, stubby lashes, and I'm always looking for hacks to make them look better. Enter TikTok's latest hack: invisible mascara.
Last year, when I saw a few posts going viral on the platform claiming that Vaseline works better than mascara — with some pretty convincing video evidence to go with it — my first question was whether or not it was safe. After speaking with a few ophthalmologists who confirmed that it was, in fact, OK to try — as long as I didn't get any Vaseline or Aquaphor in my eyes — I decided to give it a go.
What started as a simple editor experiment ended with me becoming completely obsessed.
