| Traditionally, cuffing season is the time people pair up so they're not "alone" for the holidays. (Alone in quotes because being single doesn't necessarily mean you're alone — ever heard of your adoring friends and family? Your cat? Those extra fuzzy socks with the stickies on the bottom that you whip out every year when the temps drop!? It takes a village.)
But here's another theory about why cuffing season falls when it does — emphasis on falls, because there's really nothing cuter than a fall date — and everyone wants in on the fall date sweetness. Whether it's a visit to an apple orchard, a stroll through a leaf-littered park, or a cozy movie night in, romance is undeniably in the air. And so is a lot of ragweed pollen, so if you're one of the 10 to 30 percent of Americans with a ragweed allergy, don't forget your Zyrtec and your travel pack of tissues. For anyone craving a little fall date inspo, take our mini quiz here to see which activities to opt for based on your favorite fall treat. Then, keep scrolling for a handful of our most popular dating stories from this year.

| Personally, a workout is not my preferred method of breaking a sweat with a new partner, if you catch my drift. But this author has a good point: "A daytime, sober date can be the ultimate litmus test of whether or not you actually have chemistry." |

| If you're going out with a hetero man, he almost definitely won't notice your painstakingly crafted smoky eye anyway. :/ |

I Tried It: Sleeping Beauty, For Real |
In today's featured column, Popsugar's Renee Rodriguez tries TikTok's (and Paris Hilton's!) favorite overnight sheet mask. |
|

Recently, I've been seeing an overnight collagen face mask, the Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask ($13, originally $19 for four), all over my social media feeds — both TikTok and Instagram. Paris Hilton even deemed it her sleep must have in an interview with Popsugar. People trying it out would go to bed with what looked like a regular sheet mask on their face, but they'd wake up with what looked like a clear snakeskin on that they needed to peel off. I really wasn't sure if the mask was legit, and I especially wasn't sure if the results were real because everyone woke up with perfect glass skin. Of course, I had to try it, and I won't lie — the results are just as good as everyone says they are. — Renee Rodriguez
