The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is so back. I'm talking early 2000s-level glamour — complete with side parts and bombshell blowouts galore! The show on Wednesday, Oct. 15, felt so nostalgic.
We went backstage with the angels to chat about their beauty prep before hitting the runway, from undereye patches to facial massages. Keep reading to learn how they got angel-ready.
Veteran Irina Shayk swears by eye patches. "I arrived with [four] eye patches and people thought I looked crazy, but they're my absolute favorite, Shayk says. " Lily Aldridge, on the other hand, prepped with the editor-loved Shark Beauty CryoGlow LED Face Mask ($349). "I'm obsessed," she says. "It has cooling under your eyes, and I did it this morning. I love cryo and the fact that I can do it myself, and it's five minutes, and you take it off, and your skin is major."
An underrated hack that Alex Cosani says is an easy way to get model-ready is to use eyedrops. "It's an important part of my regimen — it just gives you that extra pop." Lumify Eye Drops ($20, originally $22) are a great way to brighten the whites of your eyes and are often used by celebrity makeup artists before red carpet events.
As far as treatments go, spray tans are, of course, a favorite, but Barbara Palvin is a new fan. "Before, I was always super pale, and I loved it. And now I'm like, 'Huh, I kind of like being tan.'" But sometimes, the best way to prep for a big event is just by practicing some self-care. For Barbie Ferreira, that means "lots of sleep, no drinking, lots of massages. . . I love a face massage more than anything."
Be right back after I go throw on my Shark mask and chug some water.
