Meghan Markle is forever on our beauty mood boards, and her latest appearance has us talking once again. On Oct. 4, the actor attended the Balenciaga Fashion Show during Paris Fashion Week in an elegant, all-white tailored ensemble, but it was her glowing, barely-there makeup that really stole the show.
Her glass skin was courtesy of her longtime makeup artist, Daniel Martin. When talking about the look in a video on Instagram, Martin said, "We wanted to keep everything light, fresh, radiant. She just flew in, and your skin gets dehydrated from the plane, so I just wanted to bring some hydration back into her skin and bring some life to it." The products he used were practically untraceable, but when expertly put together, they create the most flawless, radiant base.
"When you come from fashion. . . . It's not about the makeup, it's about just looking beautiful, radiant, [and] polished," he says.
Starting with skin, Martin shared, "I actually mixed the Tatcha Longevity Skin Strength & Age Delay Serum [$80] in with the [Orce Come Closer Serum Foundation ($75)], and I think that added another layer of radiance to her makeup that made her look even more juicy and glowy." He then powdered to "knock out the shine that happens in the middle of her forehead and around her nose," using the Paris Berlin Pressed Powder ($42) — a product he says he stocks up on anytime he's in Paris.
Markle's cheeks were bronzed and sculpted using the contour side only of the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Cream Contour Duo ($85), and Martin used Tatcha's The Serum Stick ($49) for that next-level, camera-catching highlight.
For the eyes, Martin used brown eyeshadow to create a natural-looking "halo effect," alongside the Macstack Mascara Superstack ($29). And last but certainly not least, Markle's neutral lip for the occasion was a combination of the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil Longwear Lip Liner ($25) and the Tom Ford Lip Color in Iconic Nude ($45), which is "this beautiful mauvy pink."
Markle really is the queen of the nude lip, but Martin aims to change that — even if it's just once. "I would love to get her in a lip one day. Meghan, if you're watching this, I'd love to see you in a lip," he says. I'll be waiting.
