Well, it finally happened. The season three finale of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" had me on the edge of my seat up until the last minute — and don't even get me started on the announcement of a TSITP movie. I'm counting down the days until Belly returns to Cousins.
In the meantime, let's talk about how stunning Lola Tung looked on the finale red carpet in Paris on Sept. 17. She stepped out in a gorgeous silver dress from KaufmanFranco and accessorized with diamond jewelry from Frank Darling. Her hair was styled sleek and straight with a middle part, and her makeup was soft with a touch of edge.
I have the breakdown on her makeup, by Misha Shahzada, and her hair, by Dana Boyer, ahead.
For skin prep, Shahzada used the UKLash LED Dual Light Pro-Therapy Face Mask ($249) and Chanel Le Lift Flash Eye Patches ($120) before applying Tung's makeup. "Since the dress was all sparkle and shine, I kept the makeup soft and fresh to balance it out," says Shahzada. The focus of the look was the dramatic eye, which was meticulously created by curling her lashes, applying a few coats of the Tilt Beauty Lashscape Lengthening Mascara ($28) and using the UKLash Lash Separator ($11). "Once mascara was applied, I carefully combed through with a lash separator to eliminate any clumps and ensure each lash remained defined, fluffy, and perfectly fanned out," she says.
For the lips, Shahzada used the Tilt Easy Way Lip Liner in the color Suede In Manhattan (coming soon), a pinky-brown hue, and topped it off with the Tilt Grip Stick Hydrating Lip Treatment in Clear ($25).
Tung's hair was a similar vibe. "I wanted her hair to feel effortlessly elevated — sleek, glamorous, and timeless, with a modern edge that complements her natural elegance," Boyer says. "The inspiration was very much rooted in classic French beauty, but with a fresh, contemporary twist."
Boyer used the Shark Beauty Shark Glam Hot Tool ($449) with the round brush and smoothing attachments to blow out Tung's hair, and touched up any flyaways with the R+Co Dart Pomade Stick ($25).
