It was the schoolyard taunt that every little boy feared: "Don't be such a mama's boy!" But now, some guys — including the world's favorite newly engaged man — have managed to rebrand what was once the ultimate ick into a sneakily sexy persona.
What makes a mama's boy hot? Just ask relationship therapist Nicole Moore, who recently explained the phenomenon to my colleague Taylor Andrews. "They are often inherently family-focused men, which is a plus if you're a woman who wants to start a family with a romantic partner," Moore says. "They also respect women since they have an immense amount of respect for their mother, and some are truly in touch, in a good way, with their feminine side."
Of course, when dealing with a mama's boy, there are some ruby-red flags to watch out for. But fortunately, Taylor writes, "there is a breed of mama's boys out there who not only love and respect their mothers, but are also capable of doing their laundry, throwing their trash away, and buying groceries, too." Just don't expect them all to look like Travis Kelce. |

I Tried It: Drug-Free PMS Relief |
In today's featured column, Popsugar's Mercey Livingston tries a neurostimulation tool that promises to ease period-related cramps and headaches. |

If you're anything like me, when that time of the month comes around, you can't fathom the thought of not having ibuprofen close by. From cramps, headaches, and fatigue to a general blah feeling that comes with moodiness and brain fog — every month can feel like a battle just to make it through.
So when I found out about a new drug-free device called OhmBody that is supposed to help ease period aches, pains, and even mood swings and fatigue (no pills necessary), I was intrigued. "OhmBody leverages this science [neurostimulation] to provide women with a noninvasive, drug- and hormone-free option for restoring balance and relief during their cycle," said Navid Khodaparast, PhD, chief science officer and cofounder at Spark Biomedical, in a press release. So are the device's claims too good to be true? — Mercey Livingston |
