| Anyone who's dealt with eczema knows how helpless it can make you feel. I've personally smeared flare-ups with Vaseline daily, cut out inflammatory foods, and, of course, resorted to topical steroids. When my skin is really angry at me, I've been willing to do just about anything to calm it. I hadn't, however, considered hydrotherapy.
PS editor in chief and fellow eczema warrior Kelsey Castañon tried the centuries-old practice at the Avène Hydrotherapy Center in the south of France (chic!). After a series of baths, spritzes, and showers, she was relaxed . . . but skeptical. A few days later, however, her eczema patches had noticeably diminished.
I'm certainly sold. Now I just need to get to the south of France. |

In today's featured column, I wax poetic about a skin-care product that lives up to the hype. |

My skin-care inspiration is a glazed doughnut. I dream of having hydrated, dewy, and near-reflective skin, and I'm happy to report that a recent purchase has brought me closer than ever to my goal: the Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence ($13, originally $25). I'm by no means the first person to rave about this beauty product, which is on major sale right now for Amazon Prime Day. In fact, the essence already has quite the cult following. (A facial essence, by the way, is a concentrated yet lightweight lotion applied after cleanser but before moisturizer.) This particular one by Cosrx claims to hydrate the skin and even out its texture, all the while minimizing fine lines and acne scars. So, yeah, it's promising a lot. |

- This summer, consider stepping into the wide world of wellness travel. (We've got some hotel recommendations to guide you.)
- Last week, I wasn't so sure about capris. But after seeing Keke Palmer in capris, I might have bookmarked a few.
- Oh, and another thing: it's actually possible to not care if someone's face looks different. We're all for celebrities being more transparent about their tweakments, but let's not play detective here.
