Every friend group has a "dad friend" — the one who is calm under pressure, knows how to pitch a tent *and* put together IKEA furniture, and will solve all your car problems. But you don't have to actually be a dad to be the dad friend. In fact, being the dad friend actually has nothing to do with your age, gender, or parental status. Being the dad friend is a way of living — a personality trait, if you will. And as friendship expert Jillian Amodio, LMSW, says, they are the "take charge" handlers of the group. So this Father's Day, don't neglect your dad friends when celebrating. They're worthy of a new tool set, too. |
