Every year around International Women's Day, I get an influx of emails about supporting women. And every year, I think about how silly it is to relegate that call to action to just one day or month — after all, we should all be supporting women year-round.
But at the same time, in a world where abortion restrictions continue to impact millions, trans folks' rights are being stripped away, and DEI initiatives are being erased, there's never been a more urgent need to use our voices to advocate for the equal rights of everyone.
That's why, ahead of International Women's Day, we asked leaders we admire about what they're doing to fight for women's rights in this moment. Hearing from activists like Stacey Abrams and Amanda Nguyen restored my own faith in collective action, and I hope their words inspire you, too.
