Recently, editor Angela Elias was searching for the perfect pair to add to her wardrobe. So when Madewell released their more subtle version of the polarizing cut — the Darted Barrel-Leg Jeans ($148) — she knew she had to test them out.   The jeans have a fitted waist and bow out around the knees; but the curved legs aren't as dramatic as those of other pairs of barrel-leg denim on the market.
