Merrill's "Diverse Viewpoints" study, published in 2021, reports that affluent Black/African American women are 4x more likely to have invested in a business run by themselves, compared to the financial perspectives of women in the affluent general population. This isn't surprising since the study also reveals that 37% of affluent Black/African American women are more likely to be motivated by an ambition or desire for personal achievement compared to affluent general population women.
