It's been a big year for ballet flats — and shopping editor Angela Elias recently succumbed to the trend. She embarked on a not-so-easy quest for a stylish and comfortable flat to add to her wardrobe; and while on the hunt for the perfect pair she came across Madewell's Greta Ballet Flat ($98). Notably, the ballet flat has a rounded square toe and incorporates an elastic Mary Jane strap across the top of the foot — another style of shoe that's recently had a comeback. According to Angela, the leather flat is buttery-soft and comfy upon first wear. No part of the shoe dug into her foot — even that elastic strap — and most importantly, she didn't have to suffer through a break-in period. Pretty rare for a pair of flats, if you ask us.
