The transition from summer to fall is one I welcome with open arms, so you can imagine how excited I was to find the Old Navy Bomber Jacket ($65) in the brand's new-arrivals section. There was so much I loved about it before I even got my hands on it — from its houndstooth pattern and banded collar to its snap-close front buttons and loose fit, there was a lot that made me want to add it to my cart.
What I love about this bomber jacket now that I own it is that it's equal parts stylish and cozy. I've worn it numerous times, and without fail, I receive compliments every single time. An important detail to highlight about the bomber jacket is that the pockets come sewn shut, a common practice during manufacturing. I mention this because a reviewer, who gave the jacket four stars, expressed concern about the jacket pockets being sewn partially shut where "a perfectly good deep pocket" could be. I personally cut the stitching at the top of the pockets to open them, unveiling decently sized pockets underneath — and I recommend doing the same if you plan to purchase it.
