This series is about a struggling hip-hop artist who runs for mayor in order to promote his mix tape...and wins. Oops. Now, it's Courtney's time to actually step up to help his community, with help from his hilarious mom, Dina (Yvette Nicole Brown), supportive friends TK and Jermaine (Marcel Spears and Bernard David Jones), and Type-A chief of staff Val (Lea Michele).
